The ski resort of Val Thorens belongs to Les 3 Vallées ski area, the largest in the world and one of the most prestigious of the Alps in France. This extensive region has 600 kilometers of pistes and a vertical drop of 2,160 meters. It consists of eight ski resorts: Courchevel, La Tania, Méribel, Brides-Les-Bains, Les Menuires - Saint Martin, Val Thorens and Orelle.
