The ski resort of Val Thorens is the highest in Europe and a paradise for skiing in all its forms. It lies at the foot of an impressive rock and ice peak of 3,300 meters: The Aiguille de Péclet.
This ski resort has an enviable spread over 140 km of runs and an exceptional vertical drop of 1,430 meters. Thanks to its altitude, you find 8 ski areas above 3,000 meters, this will enable you to enjoy an exceptional snow from late November to mid-May.
Furthermore, we must add that most of the skiable terrain of the site exceeds the 2,000 meters above sea level. Another reason to enjoy Val Thorens is their modern lifts with a capacity of 52,000 skiers per hour.
The ski resort of Val Thorens belongs to Les 3 Vallées ski area, the largest in the world and one of the most prestigious of the Alps in France. This extensive region has 600 kilometers of pistes and a vertical drop of 2,160 meters. It consists of eight ski resorts: Courchevel, La Tania, Méribel, Brides-Les-Bains, Les Menuires - Saint Martin, Val Thorens and Orelle.
The huge amount of slopes and its ski area make this winter resort a perfect destination for any skier, even for those who prefer to enjoy the snow in a more quiet way.

Our main goal is to offer a maximum comfort and relaxation to our guests, as well as a satisfying safety and service, that is why parking in the streets of Val Thorens is prohibited.
Nevetherless, in this Semi-pedestrian resort it is allowed to make a short stop to unload luggage. Then the car should be parked in our 24h parking station VALTHOPARC.

Its staff manage more than 3,500 parking spaces. Free Minibuses are available to return home.

La proximidad de las pistas, la gran variedad de pistas y sus anchuras, la posibilidad de hacer grandes fuera pistas y la altitud de estas, dando la posibilidad a tener unas vistas increibles. Los remontes son lo mejor de lo mejor, no hay queja, Francia siempre irá un pasito por delante a las estaciones de los pirineos catalanes.
Por mala suerte de que no ha nevado antes, hubieran muy pocas pistas abiertas y Orelle era mas verde que en primavera. Pero esto ya es cosa del tiempo.
The proximity of the tracks, the great variety of tracks and their widths, the possibility of making large out tracks and the altitude of these, giving the possibility to have incredible views. The ski lifts are the best of the best, there is no complaint, France will always go a step ahead to the stations of the Catalan Pyrenees.
Unfortunately, it has not snowed before, there were very few open trails and Orelle was greener than in spring. But this is already a thing of time.

No poder estacionar el vehículo en temporada de esquí en la calle. Obligatorio pàrquing de pago. WiFi libre inexistente

Me encanta , al nivel de las mejores . Calidad de la nieve e instalaciones. Y el presqui muy animado y con mucho ambiente.

Coincidio con varias nevadas muy generosas que nos permitio esquiar perfectamente.
Parece que no se den mucha prisa en abrir pistas, muchas de ellas estaban cerradas y en perfectas condiciones para esquiar.

Calidad de la nieve y de sus remontes.
Diferecia calitativa y cualitativa insalvable para cualquier estación pirenaica.
Si no has venido nunca, estás perdiendo el tiempo.
Podían haber abierto algún remonte más de los que tenían, supongo que no fue así por ser el principio de la temporada.
De todo el conjunto de los tres Valles, solo estaba abierto valthorens y había nieve de sobra para abrir menuires, meribel y courchebel.(mucha rabia)
Esto es Francia, no esperes tener el après-ski de los bares y restaurantes Españoles. Ni en cultura ni en precio.

They could have opened a lift more than they had, I guess it was not because it was the beginning of the season. Una estación al nivel de las mejores del mundo. Excelentes remontes, excelente calidad de nieve y fuera pistas espectaculares.
Que no haya wifi en la estación es bastante penoso para la calidad de los demás servicios. El personal de pistas tiene un nivel de ingles un poco básico y se hace difícil entenderse con ellos. Precios desorbitados en los bares y cafeterias a pie de pista, por ejemplo un powerade o fanta de 50 cl te cuesta entre 5 y 6 euros, un cafe con leche 4,5 o 5 euros, un bocadillo con patatas entre 15 y 19 euros.

Apartamentos realmente a pie de pistas.
No hay wifi, los restaurantes son muy caros y no ase ajustan a la calidad de la comida.

Pistas nieve todo excelente aun con la poca nieve que tenia.
No hay wiffi ni en la habitación, y en los bares o restaurantes funciona muy mal.
Creo que en esto y en los tiempos que estamos si debería tener una mejora importante.

Que en la fecha que fuimos no había mucha nieve y estaban mucho km cerrados, pero fuimos muy pronto.

Para poder disfrutar esta estación a fondo es necesario tener un buen nivel de esquí, la zona de debutantes es buena pero carece de pistas verdes para practicar, para niveles intermedios y avanzados está muy bien, el personal de los remontes están siempre atentos y las instalaciones permiten un acceso muy fluido incluso cuando se juntan muchos esquiadores, hay variedad de restaurantes y cafeterías en pistas y disponen de una cabaña-discoteca con muy buen ambiente en medio de una pista terminando la jornada de esquí con muy buena animación :)
No tuvimos oportunidad de pasar a los otros dos valles por estar parados los remontes de conexión el motivo era la falta de nieve por lo que no es atribuible a la estación aún así hay suficientes pistas como para no aburrirte.
To enjoy this season thoroughly you must have a good level of skiing, beginners area is good but lacks green slopes to practice, for intermediate and advanced levels is fine, the staff of the lifts are always attentive and facilities allow a very smooth access even when many skiers come together, a variety of restaurants and cafes on tracks and have a cabin-club with great atmosphere in the middle of a track ending the day skiing with very good animation :)
Did not get to go to the other two valleys stand lifts connecting the reason was the lack of snow so it is not attributable to the station there is still enough clues to not get bored.

Buenos servicios, tiendas, zonas de ocio y restauración muy bien localizados
Puesto que es una resort muy freqüentado por españoles, creo que debería haber mas información en español y personal en los servicios que dominasen el idioma
