How far are the ski resorts from the airports?
If you are flying into Chambéry Airport, the closest ski resorts are The Three Valleys, Val Thorens (1 hour and 30 minutes), Tignes (1 hour and 40 minutes) and Les Sybelles (over 1 hour). If you are thinking of booking flights to Geneva Airport, the shortest transfer times are to Chamonix (about 1 hour) Grenoble Airport is closest to Les Deux Alps ski resort, with a transfer time of around 1 hour and 30 minutes.
If you'd rather travel at your own pace, you can also drive to any ski resort in the French Alps. The extensive network between the European motorways make it very easy to go skiing in France. This can be a great alternative to flying and you won't have to worry about excess baggage or long airport queues. Besides, the views to the ski resorts in France are breathtaking!
