For the last 15 years, the Grandvalira ski resort has sol 23.837.481 ski passes and has invested 152.800.000 euros. This year, they already have invested 10.4 million euros, scroll down and check out how!

Soldeu's new platform

This season the Soldeu sector is going to inaugurate a new 14 thousand square metres skiable platform right next to the Avet slope (one of the accesses of the resort). The structure has been built over the Valira river and will count with an underground car park with a capacity for 450 cars. The building of this new platform is for the World Cup Finals, that will take place from the 11th until the 17th of March.

The most important sports event in Andorra's history and an opportunity the gain international recognition. The improvement of the Avet slope meets the requirements to provide a new base and entrance from Soldeu. Only this platform has cost more than 25 million euros, a very difficult project technically speaking and counts with the backing of the Andorra Environmental and Sustainability Department.

Improvement of Tortuga and les Deveses

Grandvalira bets on families and beginners, that is why they have improved this two slopes inside the Grau Roig and Encamp sectors. The Tortuga slope has been enlarged in order to be able to get to the base of the sector and offers a great option for first timers.

On the other hand, les Deveses has also been improved because it's one of the most used blue slopes inside the resort, this year, it's wider than last season.

Extension of Àliga

At the El Tarter sector, the Aliga slope has been enabled in order to welcome the 2019 World Cup Finals. Grandvalira has decided to make the slope bigger and wider to offer more quality and security, they have also installed 200 metres more of protections.

Millores a la xarxa de canons

The Grandvalira domain has the 66% of its domain guaranteed for skiing thanks to the large and reliable system of snow cannons. This year, the resort has even more high quality cannons in order to produce more snow during the winter.

Another important development to take into account is the slope that links with Grau Roig. This will offer skiers another return way to Encamp and Soldeu.

Snowparks: level up! and better restaurants: Mmmm!

Skiers and snowboarders who love to freestyle will be able to enjoy the improvements made at the different snowparks inside the domain.

The resort is also improving the quality of the establishments in order to offer a larger variety, because skiing is not only enjoying the snow. So this season, they will count with 60 places to choose from.

For Families and children

Magic Gliss is a new slide that is 555 metres long located in Canillo (Mont Magic Family Park). This attraction will be able to slide down the differents curves at a speed of 40 kilometres per hour.
