Baqueira strikes a great season opening 2022

Baqueira Beret has kicked off the 2022 ski season with a long bank holiday with a great atmosphere and an influx of visitors. Thanks to the recent snowfall, 85,000 skiers and snowboarders have been able to enjoy holidays with favourable weather and good snow conditions. The preparation team has not stopped working to offer the best service on the slopes.

It is worth noting the almost total opening of the resort, with more than 150 skiable km, which has been decreasing due to the high temperatures to 120 km in the last days of the festive week, and with all the lifts fully operational. An average of 9,500 skiers/day have been able to slide down a hundred slopes of all levels distributed among the Baqueira, Beret, Bonaigua and Baciver ski areas.

85,000 skiers and snowboarders have enjoyed good snow conditions

A significant fact is that Baqueira Beret has been the first station in Europe to open such a large ski domain: 150 kilometres. In addition, all the services have been operational and there were no crowds since customers have been distributed throughout the week, avoiding significant accumulations.

The 25 catering points have provided service in its different terraces and establishments spread throughout the ski resort; It is worth mentioning the new point of sale for Summatura matured beef located on the terrace of Baqueira 2,200, as well as the après-ski of Baqueira 1500 and Moët Winter Lounge where the good atmosphere, music and weather have been the protagonists.

Baqueira started the season with 155 kilometres of ski slopes

The little ones have been able to enjoy the snow and the Baqueira SnowCAMP playgrounds, taking their first steps in the snow surrounded by good conditions. The Baqueira Beret Hotel, the Hotel Montarto, has registered an occupancy rate of around 70% throughout the week, reaching 90% on the days with the highest influx of visitors.

Last Friday, December 2, the new Dossau detachable chairlift was inaugurated, thus allowing more than 35,000 skiers to enjoy the new lift located in Beret and discover the new slopes marked for this season.
