VIAJES PARA TI, S.L.U. offers its customers an optional commercial guarantee for free cancellation of booked services, under the conditions described below. Please note that the fee paid to secure this commercial guarantee is non-refundable under any circumstances. VIAJES PARA TI, S.L.U. will cover any cancellation fees, provided the cancellation takes place before 12:00 p.m. (noon) on the scheduled date of hotel check-in. Free cancellation is only available if one of the causes listed below occurs after the reservation has been confirmed.
The causes that give rise to the insurance cover mentioned in the following paragraphs must be reported to Viajes para ti, S.L.U. within 48 hours of their occurrence. In the case of illness, this period will begin once the customer has an official medical document certifying the illness. Additionally, the customer must provide a document justifying the reason for the cancellation within 7 calendar days from the moment the booking was cancelled.
1. Due to death, illness, or serious bodily injury
a) Involving the customer who made the booking, any direct family member, or any travel companions and their direct family members. “Direct family members” are defined as relatives up to the second degree of kinship by affinity or consanguinity (parents, grandparents, spouses, siblings, children, and grandchildren).
b) Involving the person responsible for looking after the minor or disabled children of the booking customer at their usual place of residence while the customer is away.
A serious illness or bodily injury is defined as a condition requiring hospitalization or bed rest within seven days prior to the holiday, making it medically impossible to commence travel on the scheduled date.
2. Legal obligations during the holiday dates
An obligation to attend as a party, witness, or juror in any legal proceeding, or as a member of an electoral board in a state, regional, or municipal election, if this obligation coincides with the holiday dates.
3. Official examinations
Having to sit for an exam related to official civil service or public competitive examinations during the holiday dates, scheduled after the booking was made. Coverage applies whether the customer is the examinee or a member of the examination board.
4. Serious damage to primary residence or business premises
Serious damage caused by fire, explosion, robbery, or force majeure to the customer’s main home or to their professional premises (if the customer is self-employed or manages a business), necessitating their urgent presence during the scheduled holiday dates.
5. Surgical intervention
Performance of a surgical intervention on the client or on companions or direct family members up to the second degree of kinship by affinity or consanguinity, as well as any medical tests prior to such intervention that must be carried out on the dates of the contracted trip (Includes organ transplantation as a recipient or donor).
6. Medical tests
Emergency medical tests required by the public health system for the customer, their travel companions, or immediate family members (up to first or second degree), provided these are justified by the seriousness of the situation and coincide with the holiday dates, making travel impossible.
7. Serious complications in pregnancy
Serious pregnancy-related complications that, by medical order, require rest or hospitalization of the customer, their spouse, domestic partner, or cohabiting partner, occurring after the booking and making it impossible to travel. These must be medically justified, occur during the holiday dates, and pose a serious risk to the progression of the pregnancy.
8. Urgent call to duty
An urgent call to join the police, armed forces, or fire service, provided notification is received after the booking has been made, and it prevents the holiday from taking place as scheduled.
Additional provisions:
- If the customer transfers the holiday to another person due to any of the aforementioned causes, any additional fees arising from the change of booking holder will be covered.
- Any cause invoked for cancellation must be properly documented. All relevant documentation should be submitted to VIAJES PARA TI, S.L.U.’s Customer Service Department as soon as possible.
- After proceeding with a partial cancellation or a reduction in the number of travellers, there must be a minimum of 2 people for the trip to take place. Otherwise, if after the modification of the booking only 1 traveller remains, said booking will be completely cancelled.
In the event of a reduction in the number of travellers, VIAJES PARA TI, SLU reserves the right to modify the room allocation, while in all cases maintaining the same category of accommodation.-This service applies strictly to cancellations. It does not cover modifications to an existing booking.
