Resort Closed

Skiing in Sierra Nevada

How to get to Sierra Nevada
Getting to Sierra Nevada is easy. By car, the national highway take drivers to the Granada city centre. From there, following the signs that will guide to the A-395 (at kilometre 31 of the same motorway there will be the access to the ski resort). The journey takes about an hour and once you are there you will find up to five car parks.
By public transport, travellers can go to the bus station in Granada and take the bus line Granada - Sierra Nevada, that will drop travellers off at Pradollano, the centre of the ski resort. The bus costs 10 euros more or less.

Tothom diu que és la millor estació del sud d'Europa i, potser, tenen raó; el que sí que es cert és que el 2019 va ser la darrera estació en tancar, i les pistes més elevades encara tenien neu de bona qualitat.

Es una estación que me tiene enamorado tiene mil cosas buenas hay que ir para verlo.
He estado en el puente de mayo pero no estaban todos los remontes abiertos y tenias que bajar el río casi siempre y en vez de dejar abierto el huevo que tiene asientos para subir lo cerraron, poca nieve en verdad,mal estado de ella para tener casi una estación a medias tirando a bajo es mejor cerrar.

Me encanta la estación, ideal para aprender
No me gusta que no nos puedan dar los forfait de una manera más cómoda sin tener que esperar a veces colas interminables en la taquilla. Se debería poder canjear el cupón en los expendedores automáticos al menos si no tienen el servicio de entrega en el hotel

Debido al calor, a partir de las 14:00 la nieve estaba demasiado pesada y se ponia peligrosa.

Me pareció que faltaba muchísima señalización en cuanto al límite de pistas. Los nombres de las pistas deberían estar en más "bolardos".

La calidad de la nieve era muy buena a pesar de las fechas en las que he ido, la señalizacion es buena. Los pisteros hicieron un trabajo ejemplar y nos atendieron genial ante un incidente que tuvimos.
Me dio la sensacion de que los remontes no iban igual de rapido que en otras ocasiones.

No me parece correcto que días que por circunstancias del tiempo u otras cosas estén muchas pistas cerradas y cobren el forfaits al mismo precio..... Deberían de plantearse ese tema.
It does not seem right to me that days that due to weather conditions or other things are many closed tracks and charge the ski passes at the same price ..... They should consider that topic.

Estación de esqui inmejorable. Hemos estado esta Semana Santa, la calidad de la nieve era magnífica.. No había colas en ningún telesilla.. Y las pistas las tenían perfectas.
El ocio y restauración es bastante más caro que en otras estaciones.
Unbeatable ski station. We have been this Easter, the quality of the snow was magnificent .. There were no lines on any chairlift .. And the tracks were perfect.

La estación espectacular
No entiendo que los horarios de las taquillas sean más cortos que los horarios de apertura a las pistas de esquí. En mi opinión el servicio mejoraría bastante si tuvieran un horario más prolongado por la tarde que te permita conseguir los forfait el día de antes o, por ejemplo, reclamar la devolución sin tener que bajar antes del cierre de las pistas.

I do not understand that the ticket office hours are shorter than the opening hours to the ski slopes. In my opinion the service would improve a lot if they had a longer schedule in the afternoon that allows you to get the ski pass the day before or, for example, claim the return without having to go down before the closing of the tracks.

La calidad de nieve y el tiempo (Sol y nieve abundante)
Remontes lentos instalaciones arcaicas. Parece mentira que la tengan tan descuidada. Escaleras en ruinas, edificios cochambrosos y muy caro tanto remontes como servicios. Se aprovechan que es la única estación al sur.

Para ser Semana Santa, no se formaron muchas colas en los remontes.
El último día no abrieron la estación por viento. Devolvieron el importe de los forfaits, pero tardaron mucho tiempo en decidir si la abrían o no.

Lo apres ski.
Tiene pistas muy peligrosas sin ningún tipo de protección, incalificable.
Personal del staffl que camina en las motos en las pistas llenas de esquiadores con poco cuidado, nuevamente muy peligroso.
Telecillas sin protección para niños, de nuevo muy peligroso.
Resumiendo, tiene mucho para mejorar, es una estancia con peligros innecesarios, hay falta de cuidado.

Tuvimos la suerte de pillar la nevada! Mucho fuera pista de calidad y para todos los niveles.
Si solo hubiera habido nieve en las pistas, habría sido algo monótono.. Y se hace raro no ver ni un solo árbol.

Muy cómoda, muchas pistas para muchos niveles.
Es fácil perderse por las pistas, están todas muy juntas, sobre todo en borreguiles. Podrían poner el nombre y la distancia que queda hasta el final de las pistas en las señales del borde de las mismas (en Andorra están así y te ayudan a orientarte).

Malísima comunicación entre Sierra Nevada y Granada. Parece mentira que una estación de esquí tan importante sólo tenga 3 autobuses al día el último a las 17h (lo mismo de ida que de vuelta) el precio de los taxis desorbitados, tanto desde el centro ciudad como desde el aeropuerto. La estación está pensada solo para subir en coche pero resulta que aparcar es otro gran problema, carísimo o muy alejado. Y las colas de turismos son de 2 o 3 horas en temporada alta. En general la comunicación entre la estación y la ciudad o aeropuerto es un desastre.
Very bad communication between Sierra Nevada and Granada. It seems incredible that such an important ski resort only has 3 buses a day the last at 17h (the same way you go back) the price of exorbitant taxis, both from the city center and from the airport. The station is designed only for getting in a car but it turns out that parking is another big problem, expensive or very remote. And the queues of tourisms are 2 or 3 hours in high season. In general, communication between the station and the city or airport is a disaster.

Não há caixotes de lixo . Durante o dia também deviam arranjar as pistas. Forfait caro para a estância que é.
