The Vallter 2000 ski resort is located between 2,000 m and 2,500 m above sea level , although the main services and the main car park are at 2,200 meters . From there all the ski lifts depart - there are 11 in total - except two: the chairlift, which begins its journey in the lower part, and the ski lift, which enters the Clot de les Xemeneies.

It is precisely the altitude of the resort that allows the snowfall to be more abundant than in other Catalan ski resorts.
