The resort has moved forward the start of the summer season with the launch of the Creussans chairlift and the La Coma restaurant

The Tristaina gondola lift will open in mid-June, along with the rest of the Grandvalira Resorts proposals.

The Ordino Arcalís resort opens the summer season this Saturday, June 4, with the opening of the Creussans chairlift, which gives access to the Tristaina Solar Viewpoint . The lift will be active on weekends and from June 23 it will start up every day, in the same way as the La Coma restaurant , which will also open this Saturday. In addition, the Sorteny Refuge , open every day since May 1, offers hikers the option of spending the night in the valley and enjoying the best mountain cuisine.

The Tristaina cable car will open in the middle of the month, as will the rest of the Grandvalira Resorts proposals, such as the Mon(t) Magic Family Park , the Soldeu golf course , the extensive restoration proposal offered by the ski areaduring the summer, the Funicamp , as well as the Pioners gondola lift and the Isards chairlift in Pas de la Casa .

Excursions to the Solar Viewpoint and the Tristaina Lakes

The star excursion of the summer is the one that leads to the Tristaina Solar Viewpoint , located at an altitude of 2,700 meters and which can be accessed by the Creussans chairlift . The lift will open on weekends from this Saturday until June 19, and from June 23 to September 11 it will be active every day between 9 am and 4:15 pm. In addition, between September 17 and November 1, the chairlift will reopen again during the weekends.

The Tristaina Solar Viewpoint , which is made up of a ring 25 meters in diameter and offers 360-degree panoramic views, was the great novelty of last summer and received almost 85,000 visitors. The monument, which is shaped like a sundial and allows you to enjoy the views of the Tristaina Lakes, is a tribute to the significance of the Arcalís peak as a solar mountain and to the book of the same name by Bonaventura Adellach, which exposed the discovery he made on this mountain in relation to the solar calendar that primitive shepherds used to have a notion of time.

The La Coma restaurant, the ideal option to taste typical Andorran gastronomy in a spectacular setting, will also open this Saturday and will remain active during the weekends, while from June 23 it will be open every day, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. h. With a terrace located at 2,200 meters of altitude, the La Coma restaurant stands out especially for the tasty grilled meats that can be found on its menu, which also offers country sausages and rice dishes.

Disconnect in the Sorteny Valley

The Sorteny Valley , declared a Biosphere Book by UNESCO together with the entire parish of Ordino, is the perfect place for those interested in history, science and learning about the aesthetic landscape of the mountains of Andorra . With an area of 1,080 hectares, the Sorteny Valley Natural Park, cultural heritage of the Ordino parish, is located before reaching the Ordino Arcalís ski resort.

In this valley is the Sorteny Shelter , open every day since last May 1st. With 6 bedrooms and capacity for 50 people, it is the best option to spend the night in the valley surrounded by one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Pyrenees.. In the refuge it is also possible to simply stop to eat. The restaurant has a terrace that allows you to enjoy the views over the Ordino valley and its menu includes traditional dishes from Andorran cuisine, such as escudella or trinxat . In addition, for those who want a private experience, the Cabana Vaquer annex room has been launched, with a capacity for 12 people and the possibility of a custom menu.

Two other proposals to live the experience of sleeping in the middle of nature during the summer are those of Epic Andorra.
