La Molina opens a new cable car

One of the most spectacular Natural Parks in the Pyrenees once again has easy access after many years.

The ski lift that went to the Niu de l'Àliga was stopped and dismantled because of a fatal accident. This was first replaced by an apparatus called 'televent' and, later, by a chairlift that worked until 1994. Since then, you had to access there by your own means; whether on skis, snowshoes, walking or cycling.

The rehabilitation of this cable car was one of the most anticipated and desired works by visitors and neighbors in the area. And finally, this past December 2019, the construction came to an end.

Coinciding with the start of the ski season, La Molina opens the top of Tosa d'Alp to everyone. Whether you are a skier, snowboarder, mountaineer, hiker, pedestrian or hiker; The new section of the cable car, now called Cadí-Moixeró , will bring you closer to the entrance door of the shelter.

From up there, you can see the peaks of three regions: Berguedá, Ripollés and La Cerdanya. In addition, they are also appreciated: the city of Barcelona, the Collserola tower, Tibidabo and, on the clearest days, to the island of Mallorca. It is a true spectacle of natural beauty!

In addition to the new activities that this second section of the cable car allows, the Cadí-Moixeró has opened one more entrance to the ski area of La Molina + Masella , the second largest in Spain an hour and a half from Barcelona.
