The Pas de la Casa sector will be the epicenter of mountain skiing with the dispute of the Night Cronoscalada, scoring test for the Andorra Cup of this modality.

Grandvalira continues to work intensively with the teams on the ground and with the production of snow (if weather conditions allow it), to expand the kilometers and services offered by the domain, with the aim of achieving full face performance to Christmas parties both in ski kilometers, as well as in activities and gastronomic offer.

Another novelty for this weekend is the start-up of the night experiences at the Llac de Pessons Refuge, the Vodka Bar, the 3 Estanys restaurant, the Arrossería Pi del Migdia, the Piolet brasserie, the Roc de les restaurant Bruixes and the Wine & Meat Bar by Jean Leon. In all these places you can enjoy group dinners in the middle of nature, whether with family, friends or colleagues, and a varied gastronomic offer adapted to all types of palates. Dinners are accompanied by the possibility of enjoying different activities, such as snowshoeing, snowmobiling or a ramp ride, with prior reservation.

Visitors can also enjoy Epic Andorra , experiences as they combine outings with experienced guides with gastronomy, outdoor activities and stays in atypical accommodations such as Andorran borders, an Air Stream, Gampling and a new product that consists of passing the Night at the resort in unique and exclusive places: the Cabana Piolet, at the foot of the Montmalús and in the middle of its forests, built with wood and simulating a cabin on a tree, and the Dome Lodge, in Coma 3 of the Grau sector Roig, which consists of combining gastronomy with spending the night in a hot igloo.

With the imminent arrival of Christmas, Grandvalira has added to the extensive catalog of activities visit of Papa Nöel to Roc de les Bruixes , in Canillo or the route of the snowshoe explorers in search of the Tió in Grau Roig. The two activities take place in the evening, outside the opening hours of the slopes.

In addition, during this weekend, the Pas de la Casa sector will be the epicenter of mountain skiing in the Principality with the dispute of the first round of the Andorra Cup of the modality, the Night Cronoescalada organized by the Pirinenc Andorrà Club with the collaboration of the Andorran Federation of Muntanyisme.

As for the ski area, Grandvalira offers 130 km of slopes with thicknesses ranging between 15 and 50 centimeters of powder snow, and if the weather conditions do not change in the next few hours, a total of 74 will be available to skiers slopes and 55 lifts . In addition, as of December 26, you can enjoy the night track of the Pas de la Casa sector, from 5pm to 8pm.

Premiere of the Snowvolution Program

This weekend the Grandvalira Snowvolution Program opens, which offers the smallest of the family a ski school service throughout the season. A flexible service of quality and continuity. It is a small program with limited places that combines skiing with other disciplines in a playful environment and respect for the environment. The Snowvolution program consists of between 8 and 10 days of class throughout the season, the starting point being the El Tarter and Grau Roig sectors.

For freestyle lovers who want to extend the day until night in Grandvalira, the Sunset Park Peretol by Henrik Harlaut - the only night snowpark in the Pyrenees - opens at normal hours from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the Street plaza and 6 modules. For its part, the renewed SnowPark El Tarter will open the upper part from 11am to 4pm as well as the Freestyle Center, operating with private classes and the Freestyle Club.

The best après-ski of the Pyrenees in l'Abarset returns this weekend with the performances of Marc Marzenit and Danny Fernández (warm-up) on Saturday 14 from 18h, giving continuity a varied schedule that will be extended during the winter season with top-notch artists from the music scene after last week's inauguration with the performances of Ley DJ, Ion Pananides and Alex Pott.

Ordino Arcalís foresees half a meter of new snow and touches 100%

In Ordino Arcalis , the forecasts for the weekend indicate that the snowfall that should fall between this Wednesday and Friday can reach up to 60 cm of new snow, although it will depend on the wind, which will define the accumulated thickness in tracks.

Sunny weather and pleasant temperatures are expected for the weekend. With these snowfalls it is expected to be able to open the Hortell ski lift 1, and to condition some more track, touching 100% of the facilities.
