Still do not know the Vall de Núria ski resort ? Okay, it may not stand out for having many skiable kilometers, or for having last generation ski lifts ... but it stands out for its great beauty and the special appeal of its rack railway .

It is a very unique place to visit throughout the year!

Vall de Núria is located about 2.00 m high in the Eastern Pyrenees of Girona, within the municipality of Queralbs in the Ripollés region. Together with the Vallter 2.000 resort , it is the easternmost of the ski resorts in the Catalan Pyrenees .

What characterizes this resort? It is a very small and familiar resort that is also a place of religious pilgrimage (like Montserrat).

Another of its peculiarities is that it can only be accessed through a Funicular-Rack Railway of the FGC Group (Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya) that can be taken from Ribes de Freser or from Queralbs. The route is 12 km long and saves a 1000 m difference in altitude. It sounds amazing!

The base of the resort is located at 1,964 m in a valley surrounded by peaks up to 3,000 m high (the maximum elevation is 2,252 m).
