La Pinilla is a ski resort located in the autonomous community of Castilla y León, in the province of Segovia and just one hour from Madrid.

 

Its altitude and orientation mean that it receives heavy rainfall in the form of snow during the winter months. Its minimum height is 1500 meters and its maximum height is 2060 meters and it has a total of 23 slopes, divided into 13 red, 6 blue and 4 green, this makes La Pinilla perfect for families with children who want to learn to ski or beginners looking to advance their skiing technique.

 

Why go skiing in La Pinilla?

 

Apart from being one of the few ski resorts found in Castilla y León, La Pinilla is perfect for disconnecting from the city and spending a few days surrounded by nature.

 

This ski resort has 4 different ski areas:

 

  • La Cabaña area: It is the closest to the resort's urbanization and there is a green track for beginners. Thus, they can learn quickly and rest in one of the bars or restaurants in the urbanization.

 

  • Gran Plato Area: It is located at the 1800m elevation and here you will find a cafeteria with spectacular views and several ski schools.

 

  • Pinillas area : If you are a more advanced skier, this is your area. Here you will find the most difficult ski slopes in the resort.

 

  • Mirador Area : Due to its location, more cornered, it is the area that has the most snow and has tracks of varying difficulty, from blue runs to red runs.
