Engelberg is located in the heart of Switzerland , in the south of Lucerne and at an altitude of 1000 meters above sea level. Right in front of this picturesque town, is Mount Titlis, which rises up to 3,200 meters of altitude and through which you can ski. As is logical, at that altitude, the snow conditions are unbeatable.

 

Why go skiing to Engelberg?

 

This ski resort is one of the largest and most beautiful in central Switzerland. In addition, it has the spectacular funicular called "Titlis Rotair" in which you can have a 360º view of all the surrounding mountains and that exceed 3,000 meters in height ... It is an incredible sensation!

 

It is not a very big resort, since it has 82 skiable kilometers, but it makes up for it with a multitude of black and red runs. As a curiosity, we will tell you that it does not have a single green slope, so if you are an advanced skier in search of new challenges, this is your resort!

 

Engelberg has more than 20 kilometers of blue runs, 48 kilometers of red runs and more than 7 kilometers of black runs.

 

In addition, the great unevenness it has, added to the excellent quality of the snow, makes it one of the best resorts for off-piste skiing and this means that the resort can open from the end of October to mid-May.

 

On the other hand, for freestyle lovers, we will tell you that Engelberg has 2 snowparks with a multitude of jumps and boxes for all levels.
