This resort, is part of the Stations du Mercantour, and is located in the South East of France, on the Italian border and 90km away from Nice (90 minutes by car). It has a 120km skiable domain, that is divided in 3 different valleys, you will also fin 46 ski tracks for all levels. 7 of them are are recommended for beginners (green tracks), 16 of them are recommended for those who a basic skiing knowledge (blue tracks), 18 tracks are red for those who want to descend the steepest slopes and 5 of them are dedicated for those most experienced skiers and snowboarders (black tracks).

As you can see, the versatility of the tracks allows different types of skiers to come and visit this fantastic ski resort. In any case, this is not the only good thing about the Isola 2000 ski resort.

¿Why go skiing at Isola 2000?

This resort located in the French Maritime Alps has optimal climate conditions for ski lovers. On one side, the high altitude allows keeping the snow in a good condition and the mountain orientation is the good. We have also got to note that the resort has a high amount of good days and the location is very near the sea. All of these aspects guarantee the opportunity to enjoy a day sliding down white slopes in magnificient conditions and at the same time you can enjoy a nice day regarding weather.

Another notable aspect that we have previously mentioned is: the altitude. The lowest slope is located at an altitude of 1,900m and the highest peak is at 2,600 metres high.

On the other side, we would like to highlight is the high amount of hotels at the foot of the slopes of Isola 2000. The town is located at the foot of the ski resort and in some occasions you can come out of the hotel with your skiing boots on, literally. In this town you will also find shopping malls where you will be able to go to different shops and supermarkets.

To finish, if you think all this is not enough, we cannot forget one of the most notorious details of the ski resort. Due to its close location to the coast, on a sunny day you will be able to see the Mediterranean sea on the horizon. Isn't this fantastic?!
