On the other hand, Nendaz is also a family ski destination. It has the Familien willkommen (families welcome) seal of quality awarded by the Swiss Tourism Union. Therefore, the little ones can have a blast in the kiddies facilities.
This ski area is ideal for the whole family, the Thyon ski area has loads of slopes for beginners. If you’re a first-timer, you can try out your skiing skills on “El Petit Vallon” (with its free minigliss carpet) and the Piccolo ski lift.
For those who love speed, La Muraz is a great slope where you can take part in ski or snowboard race. What a great challenge! Did you know that this slope can be used for training? You don’t need to pay extra and you can rent the equipment at the ski school.
For the snowboarders, the Centralpark in Thyon is one of the most recognized snow parks in the Swiss Alps. It is for all levels! From professionals to beginners, everyone will find modules appropriate to their abilities.
The Veysonnaz ski resort is located in a small town in the heart of the Valais region, just 170 km from Geneva airport, making it very easy to access by car or by using the Swiss public transport system available from your own airport.
Veysonnaz can boast of being one of the sunniest towns with an average of 300 days a year with sunshine, and having a wonderful view over the Rhone Valley.
It is an excellent destination for off-piste lovers, this being one of its main attractions. In addition, their accommodation is excellent value for money.
Bruson is a small 30 km swiss ski resort that is part of the Les 4 Vallées ski resort, the Mont-Fort ski peak is its dominant point at an altitude of 3,330 m. It is connected to the grand domain thanks to the Le Châble - Mayens de-Bruson gondola.
Its sparsely wooded ski area offers stunning views and snow-powder slopes in picturesque surroundings. The top of the Pasay (2166 m) offers an incredible view of Verbier and the surrounding peaks, from the Mont-Blanc massif to the Bernese Alps.
La Tzoumaz (also known as Les Mayens des Riddes) is a ski resort in the Swiss Alps, in the canton of Valais. Its name bears the word "tzoumer", which means to take a break. It is located on the north side of the Verbier ski resort and offers splendid views of the Rhone Valley.
During the winter time you can skate on a natural ice rink, have a swim in a heated pool and try the longest toboggan run in western Switzerland that begins at the top of the resort at 2354 m.
