Sierra Nevada reaches 40 km skiable and opens the first black track of the season

The winter resort of Sierra Nevada last weekend opened 40 ski kilometres thanks to the opening of three new ski lifts during the last days: the Zayas ski lift, and the Stadium and Emilio Reyes chairlifts.

Thanks to these three new ski lifts, the Piste department of Sierra Nevada has been able to add to the snow part skiable surface in the areas of Veleta and Cauchiles . It has also been possible to open the first black slope of the resort , the Visor, which starts at the Radio Telescope and ends in the Borreguiles area.

One of the most significant elements of the new snow situation is the commissioning of almost the entire ski slope of Sierra Nevada , 1,100 meters. Thus, thanks to the Zayas ski lift, it is possible, from the middle of this week to ski, from very close to the summit of Veleta until the urbanization of Pradollano.

Also, for non-skiers , last weekend the Borreguiles slides and sledges area and the snow activities area of Pradollano, the complete Blackbird, including the Russian Sled, came into operation.

The displacements within the urbanization can be done through the Parador chairlift or on the urban bus
