Masella closes a large bridge favored by the lack of snow at other resorts

Masella closes a bridge of the Purísima positive thanks in part to the little snow of most of the Pyrenees resorts during the beginning of December that has subtracted much of the competition for these holidays.

Recall that Masella has been open since last November 1st . He had never managed to inaugurate the season so early. That day was accompanied by three more resorts, but none of them has since reopened. Therefore, it is the only one that has maintained an uninterrupted season , closing the Bridge with 1 month and 10 days of skiing, thanks especially to the intense work in hours of snow production and with many hours of machines working on the tread of slopes .

With 34 km open during the Bridge, it has become one of the Pyrenees resorts with the highest number of ski slopes and surface open during these holidays. It has also been possible to enjoy a slope of 600 m, from the top of La Tosa 2535 m to Coma Oriola and Jumbo Tosa 1900 m. The rest of the slope has been enabled until the Pla de Masella just enough for skiers to reach the 1600 m level without taking off their skis.

It has been good weather, marked by a sunny environment and mild day temperatures , and snow has been manufactured on Friday night to further improve the quality of snow.

These factors have caused the resort to register a good influx of skiers. In addition, it has been favored by the fact that other resorts have been closed and many skiers have diverted to Masella due to the better conditions of the resort, with a greater number of open slopes.

During the four days of the Bridge, a total of 24,700 skiers have been on the slopes. The occupancy of the accommodation at the foot of the slopes has been 100%.

With all this and seeing the results, Masella has been one of the best options of the Pyrenees to enjoy winter sports during the Purísima bridge.
