Grandvalira welcomes the best après-ski with the opening of L'Abarset

Andorra la Vella, December 28, 2021 . L'Abarset, the popular leisure and restaurant venue in Grandvalira, has already opened its doors. The renewed après-ski returns to offer a global experience and with the aim of being among the best après-ski in Europe . Its gastronomic proposal, along with the musical agenda, are designed to achieve this.

The renovated L'Abarset project preserves the essence and spirit of the old premises, including the people who have made it possible. The new concept also seeks to de-seasonalize the space and go beyond the snow and ski season. L'Abarset's new proposal, in the purest Alpine style, is framed in a privileged space, elegant and integrated with the environment .

Located next to the Tarter gondola, the new après-ski temple has been designed by David Alayeto, from the Dream Up Design studio, and manages to find the perfect balance between day and night in an oasis of entertainment with privileged views of the mountain. This is present throughout the space thanks to natural equipment s that, mixed with other more noble ones, add a touch of sophistication to a warm and modern environment.

The more than 2,000 square meters of surface, with two floors and a terrace of 700 square meters, have a unique decoration, with organic forms, walls made of trunks and branches or bars that simulate rocks emerging from the ground.

Food for the whole day

The gastronomic proposal of L'Abarset covers all the meals of the day, from breakfast to dinner , in the form of dishes, tapas and more consistent dishes for those who want to recharge after the day in the snow. The bar area is a more informal space, reserved for breakfasts for all tastes and where you can enjoy both good vermouth and more informal tapas meals. The restaurant has an à la carte menu for lunch and dinner in an exclusive and dynamic atmosphere, combining tradition and trend in a warm atmosphere.

Après-ski, VIP area and a non-stop musical offer

The exterior of L'Abarset has the famous après-ski area : the jewel in the crown and the most anticipated and demanded space for months. The concept of leisure will also go one step further, with a musical proposal and a commitment to the best sound and lighting technology to offer a unique experience.

Edu Imbernon will inaugurate après-ski with his proposal of melodic, emotional and energetic electronic music . During the season, each week the ski days will be extended with different performances themed by musical styles that will allow to relive the great hits of the 80 ', as well as the best-known songs of international house and avant-garde electronics.

In this way, Tuesdays and Wednesdays are reserved for resident DJs, who will liven up the après-ski with styles more oriented to chill house, disco and deep house. On Thursdays, change the rhythm to give prominence to R&B, American hip-hop or funky . And Fridays are for mainstream house dance.

One of the great highlights of the new L'Abarset is the VIP area, which with the help of Veuve Clicquot, guarantees a premium and festive experience.

Weekends of authentic luxury

Every Saturday, following the pattern of success of previous seasons, L'Abarset will be the most club-oriented electronic music space and trend festival, mainly Tech House . Electronic music is in a state of maturity that covers the tastes of a very wide age range. The figure of the DJ, in addition, is a claim with decades of experience that brings quality to the night.

In addition to the already mentioned Edu Imbernon, among the artists already confirmed for this 2021-2022 season , Chus, Los Suruba and Viviana Casanova stand out. But the space also reserves some surprises so that ending the days of skiing in Grandvalira allows you to live a weekend of authentic luxury on the slopes.

The artistic figures that are part of L'Abarset's programming are great musical references with large communities of followers and very tight schedules in the midst of their international tours. The exclusivity of their performances, together with the uniqueness of a unique setting in the middle of the mountain, will leave unforgettable memories for the audience.

A sustainable and innovative building

The rebirth of L'Abarset has been an architectural challenge, not only because of its impressive visual appearance, but also because one of the priorities was that the new benchmark for après-ski in Europe had to be a sustainable building integrated into the natural environment.

In terms of universal accessibility, it is committed to the inclusion of all people in the spaces themselves, being valued by Clear Code Architecture®, which is the first method that guarantees the equality of all people in the use of the physical environment. Through this method, the aim is to make the L'Abarset facilities a benchmark within the national and international ski area.

One of the sustainable elements that stand out in the new L'Abarset building is the alliance with d & b audiotechnik, a German sound systems company that has sustainability as one of the priorities of its activity. In addition to offering high-quality systems that ensure a great experience for L'Abarset visitors, d & b has carried out an environmental noise impact study using its NoizCalc software that predicts the noise impact on the environment and allows the system to be adjusted to meet always with the noise pollution regulations.

In its commitment to sustainability, it is also worth mentioning the collaboration with Cervezas San Miguel, a company that is committed to technological and sustainable advance with the implementation of large-volume tanks that minimize the cost of transport and handling of beer, with the aim to reduce contamination, improve beverage quality and reduce single-use packaging.

Covid restrictions

In accordance with the measures established by the Government of Andorra, L'Abarset has opened its doors to give a great welcome. For this reason, the spaces are always distributed following the measures and capacities that the Government establishes. It is necessary to present the Covid Certificate in order to access the facilities. For its part, L'Abarset ensures good hygiene and disinfection of spaces. As for the current capacity, inside the tables can be up to 6 people while outside these can be up to 10 people. The divided spaces of L'Abarset facilitate this segmentation, favoring the safety of all those who want to have a good time in this new space.

Capacity is limited, so prior booking will be prioritized to access the restaurant and après-ski
