Tavascan launches its ski season once again

The last precipitations in the form of snow are being important and the ski resort of Tavascan accumulates, for the first time this season, some thicknesses that allow the opening of its facilities.

The low level of the ski resort, which at the beginning of this week had no snow at all, has already accumulated more than 30 cm thanks to the heavy snowfall of the last hours. Likewise, forecasts indicate that snow will continue to fall and this will increase these thicknesses.

Thus, the Nordic circuits will open this Wednesday, January 18, and the alpine slopes will open this Friday, January 20.

It should be remembered that Tavascan is in a very delicate situation this season 2022-2023 due to the lack of snow during the bridge of the Purísima and Christmas and the economic impossibility of having more snow cannons to ensure a minimum and open the facilities of the ski resort to the sport.

In fact, at the beginning of this month of January, the management considered the season as lost after they have only been open for a whole month with a single 600-meter slope. It was put into operation on December 7, and on January 7 it was closed until the situation changed.
