Grandvalira will make tests to its workers every week to guarantee safety

The new general director of Grandvalira-Nevasa, Juan Ramón Moreno , has advanced in an interview to the program "La Réplica" of the Andorran Radio and Television that the resort faces the 2020-21 winter season with ambition and trusting that the offer can be the same as any other year.

Juan Ramón Moreno explains that the summer, with very good numbers of visitors and already applying social distancing measures, has served as a dress rehearsal in terms of safety, which will continue to be a priority.

Grandvalira will maintain the constant cleaning of lifts and cable cars, the distance between tables and the limited capacity in catering establishments and the use of hydroalcoholic gel.

In the queues, it will be mandatory to go with your mouth covered and the new general manager has advanced in the "La Réplica" program that will test all workers once a week. "Employees will be tested because if the slightest thing happens they can be isolated and we can avoid contagion," says the general director of Grandvalira-Nevasa.

Moreno explained that there will not be large investments and that he is committed to the digital aspect , promoting the resort's app to buy ski passes and make reservations at restaurants.

They have assumed that the volume of skiers will decrease, "but the will is to maintain the maximum number of workers to offer the best service."

Moreno took advantage of the interview to make a call to the Government of the Principality to be flexible in the field of hiring and to be able to recover temporary workers , since, as he has highlighted, they are workers with experience on the slopes.

Grandvalira expects this winter a local customer, "especially Spanish and French, and last minute".

In addition, they want to promote a specific leisure offer for non-skier visitors

According to Juan Ramón Moreno, at least for this season, it is not expected to put a director in charge of Ordino Arcalís, but it does want to promote the exchange of skiers between the two Grandvalira group resorts.
