Grandvalira closes the Purísima Bridge with the visit of about 60,000 skiers . Over 5 days (from December 6 to 10), the Andorran station has registered an average of 12,000 skiers per day, being Thursday 7 the day of maximum influx on slopes. The average number of skiers per day has increased compared to last year's Bridge, which was 8,000 skiers per day, despite the fact that in the previous campaign the period of customer entry was 9 days.

The technical teams have worked hard to offer the best possible conditions on the first big snow event of the season. Thus, the team of canyons has taken advantage of the cold wave that has linked around 10 consecutive days of low temperatures to maintain full production and almost without truce the production of crop snow. In turn, machine equipment has accumulated up to a total of 2,300 hours of tread, a figure higher than previous campaigns by these dates.

Thanks to these tasks and many more, Grandvalira has kept open the 6 sectors of the station with Pas de la Casa, Grau Roig and Encamp connected, and Soldeu, El Tarter and Canillo also linked. Despite the efforts of the field teams, Grau Roig's connection with Soldeu has not been enabled during these days of Bridge. The Snow Domain has offered around 100 km skiable along these dates with a snow height between 30 and 70 cm , but with irregular conditions. Two of the three snowparks have also started during the Bridge with the partial opening of the Snowpark El Tarter and the Sunset Park Peretol. Also during the days of Puente, Grandvalira made available to customers a free shuttle bus service between the different sectors.

Both the Ski and Snowboard School and the Adventure Activities have fulfilled expectations and have registered superior results to the Purísima Bridge last year.

During the first big event of the snow season, the Snow Domain has received skiers who came from the proximity markets, Catalonia and South of France as well as from Madrid, the Basque Country and Valencia.

Weekly forecast

Grandvalira works continuously to enable slope connection between the Grau Roig and Soldeu sectors. The precipitation in the form of snow planned for today and in the coming days will make the link viable in the next hours / days as the station technicians point.

From these snowfalls, the technicians also consider being able to progressively expand the number of slopes and, therefore, of skiable extension throughout the week.

As for the parks, the Snowpark El Tarter has an initiation line with 7 modules and with the aim of expanding if the weather conditions allow it. For its part, the Sunset Park Peretol opens from Tuesday to Sunday from 3pm to 9pm with two lines of modules and the Street Plaza with a hill of 4 multifunbox modules and big pyramid.

The services of Ski and Snowboard School and all the restoration points are already 100% operational and a good part of the adventure activities are already in operation.

It should be noted that next Saturday, December 16, L'Abarset (El Tarter sector) will receive a new après-ski session by the guest artist, Uner. For its part, the solarium Igloo Hotel (Grau Roig) terrace will house session dj style with both Saturday and Sunday from 13h to 15: 30h.
