From June 21 you can go to Andorra

The lifting of border restrictions will therefore be carried out once the last extension of the state of alarm ends, at 00:00 hours on June 21 * . This will also allow the Spanish to finally enter Andorra from next Sunday, from anywhere in the neighboring territory.

However, Portugal is not included in the new reopening at the request of the government of this country, the restrictions between Spain and the Portuguese country will remain until July 1 , when there will be a joint act on the border with the authorities of both countries.

This advance does not affect the departure of citizens of Andorra, who can already circulate in the Alt Pirineu and Aran from Friday and, starting today, Monday 15 , through the territories that are in phase 3. Limited access (you cannot go through Ponts, for example, to "go down" to Tarragona) but it will allow you to get to Girona, Tarragona and the Terres del Ebre. Regarding Lleida, Barcelona and the metropolitan area, still in phase 2, the Generalitat has already requested that they also go to 3 starting on Monday. The decision will depend on the Spanish Ministry of Health.

The Spanish Government justifies this date change to the good evolution of the coronavirus pandemic. On June 21, the obligation to quarantine for all people coming from the EU will be lifted . On July 1 the borders will be opened for the rest of the third countries.

* Although the temporary restriction will remain in force until the end of the state of alarm, the order of the Ministry of Health leaves open the possibility of extending it, in the same terms, until 24:00 hours on June 30.
