Aramón says goodbye to the telecabin of Expo Zaragoza 2008

It has been more than 7 years since the telecabin was held and presented at Expo Zaragoza 2008 . It is abandoned between the two banks of the Ebro, inactive and converted into an element of the purely decorative city. Waiting for the snow group Aramón to decide what to do with it.

But now they know, and this Wednesday they will receive permission from the Zaragoza City Council to take the posts, the wiring and the cabin. Although not yet made public that will be done with the infrastructure have been shuffled two possible options : the first is the relocation at some resort of the company, and the second, the sale to another company (such as Grandvalira).

The dismantling of the cable car, the poles and the wiring will cost 700,000 euros , although this amount could be multiplied if it is decided to install at some point in the Pyrenees (the investment that was carried out in the expo was raised above 11 million ).

Thousands of people from Zaragoza have made trips in these cabins during the summer of 2008 , the price was € 5, although on festivities or special days they reduced the price to € 1 per trip. It reached a point where the operation of the cable car was not profitable and it was no longer serviceable. The route goes from the Station of Delights to the Water Park.
