What are the best ski areas in Grandvalira during Half-Term?

The most popular ski resorts are Pas de la Casa, Soldeu and El Tarter. The last two options are ideal for families as both ski areas have plenty of beginner ski slopes and the ski schools have loads of different ski programmes for both adults and children. If you’re travelling with friends or your couple and also want some great evening atmosphere, Pas de la Casa is the place for you.

If you’re looking for quieter ski area, El Canillo is also a great option. The hotels may not be that close to the slopes but there’s a cable-car close by. There’s also an ice-skating rink, which can be a great après-ski activity to do with kids.

If you want to be close to Andorra La Vella but also want something with easy access to the slopes, Encamp is the best option. You are only 10 mins from the shopping area and the hotels there are fairly close to the Funicamp, a cable-car that will take you up to the slopes in about 15 mins (access is included in the ski pass).
