Vallnord dismisses season with profit growth

The ski season has come to an end and, once again, Vallnord has exceeded expectations set at the start of the season. For the fourth consecutive year, the ski resorts of the domain finish the period 2016-2017 with benefits and get record numbers in their billing.

The users of the ski resorts Pal Arinsal and Ordino Arcalís have been able to live 137 days of skiing with excellent conditions until the last moment: in fact, this Monday, April 17, the facilities have been dismissed of the winter with a thickness of snow From 70 to 150 centimeters accumulated.

The number of visitors that have passed through Vallnord this season has remained in relation to the record number already obtained in other seasons. And, although the occupation has been similar in terms of percentages, has also increased user spending, leading to the Andorran resort to exceed the threshold of turnover. From Vallnord they emphasize that this has been the result of the resources dedicated to modernization and the efforts put in differential and exclusive proposals , such as the Diada de la Neu, various après-ski parties, or the yoga sessions under the moon and 2,200 meters of altitude.

On the other hand, it should be noted that snowboarding has been one of the star winter sports of the season thanks to the Arinsal Snowpark , which during these 500 days of skiing has received riders from different lines and modules.

Positive balance

Thus, the team of the resort has dismissed the season 2016-2017 with a very positive balance. In this regard, the Vallnord general director, Josep Marticella, wanted to highlight the improvement of the facilities , such as the renovation of the restaurant Xalet Igloo in Arinsal, which now has a terrace of more than 180 meters.

Finally, although Vallnord fires the snow until next November, it does not cease its activity. In fact, next May 20, the facilities of the Massana re-open their doors with Vallnord Bike Park and Mountain Park . In this way, the ski resorts Pal Arinsal and Ordino Arcalís will extend their appeal for 10 months a year.
