The Ordino Arcalís resort will have all of the slopes and facilities available in time for the Christmas holidays. The field team has worked intensively during the last days to have the resort ready, including the ski lifts that give access to freeride areas. So, if all goes well, you will get the chance to visit the entire ski resort. The snow levels range between 50 cm and 90 cm of powder-hard snow. In addition, there's a series of activities for the little ones: Santa Claus will ski and fly on speedride through the resort and meet the children, who can do workshops at Els Planells.

The goal of the resort is to have all of the facilities available from this Saturday (it all depends on the weather conditions) The field team has conditioned the slopes that were still closed, which were the black slopes. They are also currently working on the start-up of the ski lifts that give access to freeride areas. The Feixans ski lift will be ready from this Saturday. However, the Creussans chairlift will require a more complex maneuver.

As for the tracks, the availability of all of these is expected, including those that had not yet been able to be conditioned so far: the black slopes. In fact, this Tuesday the Portella de Arcalís has already been opened.

Family activities to celebrate an idyllic Christmas

The resort is committed to satisfying all audiences, following the trend of recent years in terms of family activities. Thus, on Saturday, December 21 in the morning, Santa Claus will be appear on the slopes from 11 am and the little ones can take pictures with him. Later, he will make a tandem descent to the Els Planells area, where he will meet the children who are waiting for him. In the Planells area there will be different workshops for all the family.

Restaurants, beyond skiing

All the restaurants of the resort will be open and offer their specialties. But beyond the offer for skiers, the Borda de la Coma also contemplates the possibility of bringing its kitchen to pedestrians traveling with the Tristaina Cable Car. And not only that, but you can also enjoy, under reservation, the night experiences that combine the rise in the giant sled (pending the conditions of the track), with a dinner based on fondue or t-bone steak with other specialties. Similarly, the gastronomic experience is also offered in the Refugi de les Portelles, at 2,600 m altitude, in a much more reserved and exclusive environment, since the capacity is reduced.

Ski & Mountain Academy

The ski and snowboard school, as well as the nursery and the snow garden, will be available to customers. As for the ski school, collective and individual classes will be taught, and skiers will also be able to choose the Top Class, personalized ski classes where an accompaniment is also done by the resort and is complemented by video-correction sessions.

In addition, as usual, the services of the Grandvalira Mountain Guides will be offered, outings to discover other disciplines related to skiing.

Taking advantage of the opening of the freeride ski lifts will be a good opportunity to teach with the specialized freeride school of Ordino Arcalís, which has qualified and endorsed monitors by Freeride World Tour.

During the weekend the Magic Ski Club is launched, the recreational option of collective skiing where everyone finds their place enjoying the mountain and skiing.

The Kids Forest children's circuit will also be available, with modules, jumps, tunnels and cant.

Activities, the alternative to skiing

Parallel activities to ski focus leisure alternatives at the resort. Snowshoeing, snowmobiling, speedride, caterpillar vehicle excursions, or snowbike are some of the proposals offered from the resort. In addition, the Airstream caravan or stays on the mountain sidelines combined with departures and excursions are also available upon reservation. You can also do panoramic flights by helicopter or heliskiing.

Weather forecasts, more snow

The forecasts for the next few days indicate intermittent snowfall until Friday, where a disturbance is expected to leave up to 30 cm of new snow at high levels.
