Aramón will maintain its investment plans in the ski resorts despite the Covid 19

The Aramón group will invest 9 million euros this summer for the new season, will continue with the expansion of the Cerler resort to Castanesa and will place a new chairlift in Formigal, in the Izas valley, works that will start in the next weeks.

The new Formigal chairlift, a detachable six-seater, will be placed in the Izas area, from the lower part - close to the Sarrios car park area - to the Lanuza pass. This ski lift will contribute to modernizing the facilities in this valley , one of the most appreciated by Formigal skiers, where natural snow is preserved with very good quality until well into spring.

The new chairlift, a D-Line from Doppelmayer, will cover a length of 2,541 meters and a drop of 447 meters. With a capacity for 2400 skiers per hour, it has a speed of 6m / s, it will be the first ski lift of these characteristics installed in Spain.

It is the same model, a D-Line, which will be installed in 2021 in Castanesa where the expansion work of the Cerler resort will continue this summer. The works this summer will focus on finalizing the adaptation of the service roads that began last year for the installation of a new ski lift and on the adaptation of the slopes that will depart from the Basibé pass, as well as civil works for the placement in 2021 of the first chair lift of this project. The extension of Cerler to the Castanesa valley will provide the valley with a new tourist attraction compatible with livestock, a new project that opens up possibilities for the future in the Montanuy area.
