This exclusive Esquiades.com insurance covers your entire ski holiday, from the moment you leave your home until your return. This includes all travel dates in your booking and the days for which you have booked a ski pass.

Insurance Coverages:

1. Medical and Health Care

ARAG will cover expenses for the intervention of health professionals and facilities required for the care of the insured in case of sickness or injury. This includes:

Emergency medical attention and specialist care.
Complementary medical examinations.
Hospitalization, treatments, and surgeries.
Medicines during hospitalization or reimbursement for costs of injuries or diseases not requiring hospitalization.
Treatment of acute dental problems due to trauma requiring urgent care.

Coverage limits:

Up to 3,005.06€ per person abroad or equivalent local currency.
Up to 3,000€ in Andorra.
Up to 1,000€ in Spain.
Dental costs are limited to 100€

Coverage ends when the insured returns to their residence or is admitted to a health centre within 25 km (15 km in the Balearic and Canary Islands) from their residence.

2. Sledge or Ambulance Expenses

If the insured incurs expenses for a rescue sledge or ambulance transport within the ski resort due to an accident, ARAG will cover these costs.

3. Return Home or Transport for Injured or Sick Person

In case of accident or illness, ARAG will cover:

Ambulance transport to the nearest clinic or hospital.
Medical team examination and coordination with the treating doctor to determine the best treatment and transport options.
Transport to the prescribed hospital or home by the most appropriate means, which may include an air ambulance in Europe and Mediterranean bordering countries.

If the insured is hospitalized away from home, ARAG will cover subsequent transport to their home. For non-Spain residents, repatriation will be to the departure point in Spain.

4. Transport of a Family Member in Case of Hospitalization

If the insured is hospitalized for more than five days, ARAG will cover a round trip plane or train ticket for a relative or chosen person to accompany them. If abroad, stay expenses up to 72 € per day for a maximum of 10 days will be covered with proper invoices.

5. Recovery Stay at a Hotel

If the insured cannot return home due to medical advice, ARAG will cover hotel expenses up to 84 € per day for a maximum of 10 days.

6. Return Home or Transport of Deceased Person

In case of death, ARAG will organize and cover the transportation of the body to the place of burial in Spain, excluding burial and ceremony costs. Non-Spain residents will be repatriated to the trip's departure point in Spain.

7. Return Home in Case of Emergency

If the trip is interrupted due to the death of a spouse, first-degree relative, or sibling, ARAG will cover transportation costs for a round trip by plane or train to the burial site in Spain. Alternatively, two tickets to the insured's residence can be provided.

8. Refund for Unused Ski Passes

If the insured is injured and requires repatriation or early return, ARAG will refund the unused portion of the ski pass up to 180.30 €.

9. Refund for Unused Ski Lessons

If the insured is injured and requires repatriation or early return, ARAG will refund the unused portion of the ski lessons up to 300 €.

10. Emergency Communications

ARAG will transmit urgent messages related to claims covered by this insurance.

11. Criminal Defense Coverage Abroad

ARAG guarantees defense for the insured's criminal liability in foreign courts related to their private life and travel. Coverage excludes incidents caused voluntarily or through gross negligence, with a maximum coverage of 3000 €.

12. Legal Assistance Abroad

In case of a legal problem abroad, ARAG will connect the insured with a local lawyer. This service is only available in countries with diplomatic relations with Spain.

13. Claim for Damages Abroad

ARAG covers claims for damages the insured may suffer as a pedestrian, driver of non-motorized vehicles, or passenger, excluding contract breaches. In case of death, claims may be issued by relatives or beneficiaries, with a maximum coverage of 3000 €.

14. Claim for Issues with Purchases Abroad

ARAG covers claims for breach of sales contracts abroad for personal property up to 3000 €. Excluded items include antiques, collections, jewellery, and art pieces.

15. Claim for Service Issues Abroad

ARAG covers claims for non-compliance with service contracts abroad, such as medical, travel, cleaning, and authorized appliance repair services, with a maximum coverage of 3000 €.

16. Refund for Rented Equipment Costs

If the insured suffers injuries that require repatriation, transfer, or early return, ARAG will reimburse the unused portion of rental equipment costs up to 150 €. Injuries must be medically documented, and rental contracts or return documentation must be provided.

17. Damage to Personal Equipment

If the insured's skis or snowboard are damaged beyond repair due to a serious accident requiring repatriation or transfer, ARAG will compensate up to 300 €. This requires medical documentation and proof of the irreparability of the equipment. Compensation is based on replacement value, minus depreciation.

18. Loss of Prepaid Services

If the insured is injured and unable to continue skiing, ARAG will reimburse up to 300 € for other sports activities that cannot be utilized due to the injury. Medical documentation and proof of non-refundable cancellation are required.
