The activity of Barrancos consists of descending natural canyons that erosion and the force of the water have formed in its path. During the tour you will overcome waterfalls, pools, huge rocks, underground sections, water slides ... accompanied by a specialist mountain guide and the necessary equipment . You will discover this exciting sport in an enjoyable and safe way.

This level of canyons is the basic one . It supposes a first contact with this sport, it does not entail too much difficulty and therefore it is not necessary to have previous experience
. Therefore, this level of descent is ideal for all those who are starting out in this sport or those who are looking for fun sensations and controlled emotions. It is only necessary to know how to swim and not be afraid of the water.

What time does the activity start? The activity will take place at 3:00 p.m.

Where are we going to practice canyoning? The activity takes place in a surprising landscape sculpted in the rocks, impressive to enjoy nature. Specifically, the route will take place in the Barranco de Segudet (Ordino).

What equipment is included? Neoprene, harness, helmet and instructor. Insurance can be included in the destination to be able to enjoy the activity with total peace of mind.

What equipment do I bring? Swimsuit, towel, sneakers or mountain boots (to be able to get wet) and your own vehicle to access the beginning of the activity.

How long is the activity? The approximate duration of these activities is 3 hours, although it may vary depending on the members of the group.

Can I wear glasses or contact lenses? If you wear glasses, a good idea is to tie them with a cord or even go without them. If you wear contact lenses, it is advisable to protect them with swimming or diving goggles and not even wear them.

Is any preparation needed or is good physical shape enough? No specific preparation is necessary. It is about knowing your own limitations and having a physical shape according to the minimum required for each descent, since it is a complete activity in which you walk, climb, climb, jump, nothing ....

How does a day of ravines pass? T he meeting point to start the activity will be previously defined by the guides who accompany you. It is usually in the "Casa de la Montanya" of ordino. In Carrer Major, nº 20, Ordino. There we will put on the neoprene. Once changed, we will go with our own vehicle to the starting section of the activity. Jumps, slides, siphons, rappels ... await us in a spectacular natural environment.

Is jumping mandatory? Sometimes they are mandatory for the progress of the activity, although they are low-rise jumps that are easy to perform.. For longer jumps, the rappelling rope can be installed.

Do you need to know how to swim? In aquatic ravines, the water can cover our entire body and in areas you have to progress by swimming, so it is essential to know how to swim .

Is it easy to rappel? The guide will always teach you to do it correctly and then he will always supervise you and, if appropriate, he will assure you.

From what age can you descend ravines? The recommended age to start canyoning is 7 years old.

What is the best time? The canyon varies in each season of the year. After the rains and the thaw they have more water, and it is colder, so it requires more technique, and in summer the flow decreases.

What footwear should I wear? It is about wearing light, comfortable and adherent footwear that protects our feet as much as possible.
