Due to the recent snowfalls, Grandvalira Resorts is expected to open almost all of its 303 km of slopes this weekend. Pal Arinsal and Ordino Arcalís will be 100% open with snow thicknesses of up to 1 meter in the case of Ordino Arcalís, while Grandvalira will be close to 100%, offering 190 skiable km and counting withthicknesses of between 40 and 70 cm of powder snow .

The ski area of El Tarter in Grandvalira offers a whitened aspect after the recent snowfalls.

According to weather forecasts, heavy snowfall is expected tonight, leaving an additional 15 to 20 cm of snow, providing excellent skiing conditions for the weekend at all Grandvalira Resorts. In addition, sunny skies are expected from Saturday morning onwards.

Despite the weeks without precipitation, Grandvalira Resorts have been able to keep at least 60% of their slopes open at all times, even with more than 80% of the slopes and snow thicknesses of up to 55 cm at times of snow shortage, which has allowed them to offer one of the best snow conditions in the Pyrenees .

A calendar full of competitions

Grandvalira Resorts closes an intense week, full of activities, including several competitions. Ordino Arcalís hosted the 31st edition of the Borrufa Trophy, an international alpine skiing competition that brought together more than 200 youngsters between the ages of 12 and 16 from 27 different countries.

The slopes of Ordino Arcalís are the ones with the greatest snow thickness.

Even without the final results, the Andorran delegation has won 5 medals and occupied 8 podiums so far, and is in 4th place in the National Team Event. On the other hand, Pal Arinsal is getting ready to receive the ISMF Comapedrosa Andorra Ski Mountaineering World Cup, which will start tomorrow with an opening ceremony in the village of Arinsal. The weekend will see the individual race on the 21st and the vertical race on the 22nd.

Services and catering fully operational

Grandvalira Resorts will also offer its best services for the weekend, including après-ski activities, restaurants and outdoor activities.

The après-ski at L'Abarset will feature live music, including R&B DJ Blade on Thursday, house music by Marta Van Dam on Friday and Dosem with her progressive house on Saturday. On Sunday, the venue will continue its "Friends and Family" theme with music from the 80s and 90s for moms and dads who want to enjoy the après-ski atmosphere as a family.

The slopes in Pal-Arinsal are in excellent skiing conditions for the weekend.

The resorts' restaurants and terraces will offer stunning views of the snow-capped mountains and excellent gastronomy, such as the Racó de Solanelles with its new outdoor barbecue, the iconic La Coma restaurant in Ordino Arcalís which has been recently renovated, or the Xiringuito terrace on the Coll de la Botella in Pal.

In addition, the Mon(t) Magic Family Park will be open with all its activities, including the Màgic Gliss, a two-people slide that descends for 550 m between the mountains, and the Tyrolean traverse with a 40 m drop that allows speeds of up to 80 km/h while flying over Canillo. The white landscapes created by the snowfall offer a unique opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities such as mushing excursions, electric Moonbikes, snowshoe circuits or skimo, and to explore the emblematic places of the mountains with the help of the Grandvalira Mountain Guides.
