Snow again SkiPallars stations (Port Aine - Ski Espot) (1/2/2012)

The snowfall of January 29 to 20 inches allowed in Espot stations and Port-Aine and the forecast is for further precipitation.

Port-Aine held the weekend of the Catalan Championship Slopestyle modalities freeski and snowboard, and how a test VII Catalan Circuit of Snowshoes FEEC. (POSTPONED TO 10 to 12 February)

After nearly a month without receiving any episode of precipitation as snow, on Sunday January 29 fell a snowstorm that left 20 inches in Espot stations and Port-Aine. The snowfall has allowed to significantly increase the thickness on the slopes as well as the quality of the snow; today in perfect condition for skiing and snowboarding. The forecast also expects metorológica new snow and a weekend with a sunny and cold weather.

The best national freestyle station Port-Aine

This weekend, for the second consecutive year, the Port-Aine station will host the Championship of Catalonia in the modalities SlopeStyle free ski and snowboard. The best riders of the peninsula the title will be played in a special circuit prepared for the chance that combine different modules and lines with artificial jumps of varying difficulty where Thursday appreciate the style and execution of tricks.

The test is part of the 1st Division of the FCEH Freestyle Pyrenees. The show is served in the Snowpark Port-Aine. On Saturday February 4 qualifying rounds will be played and the final in snowboard and Sunday February 5 will be the turn of skiers.

Test Racket Catalan Circuit in Port-Aine

The Independent Rookie of Catalonia (ERC) Club organized on Sunday February 5 second test VII Catalan Circuit of the Snowshoes FEEC station Port-Aine.

The test will take place at 08:30 am from in front of Hotel Port-Aine 2000, to 1,980 m. In addition to the walk is scheduled conducting an orientation workshop and otr on using the transceiver. Apart from all this, the organization has prepared three contests; photograph two of the best reward and the best panoràmica test and another for best review of the ascent of the Pic Orri, highlight and ceiling Station Port-Aine 2,440 meters.

Mushers good feeling, Organization and Audience stages Pirena

The 22nd edition of the Pirena surprised everyone passing through the station Port-Aine. A heavy snowfall took place during the night stage that was held on Saturday and was greeted with excitement by the participants and the large audience who came to watch the race at the station. The snowfall forced to shorten the course and skijohrers (skiers pulled by sled) stage, which did not account for the overall time lost. On Sunday, heavy snow and fog forced the organization to improvise a stage and a tour that also computed for the general classification. Still, organization and participants were pleased and proud to see the large number of audience and atmosphere of the stages; tradition as it is high season in Port-Aine.
