New viewpoint in Ordino

The viewpoint is projected next to the dividing crest of the slopes of Andorra and Ariège

Ordino has approved to tender the concession of a viewpoint in Arcalís. Saetde, majority shareholder of the Ordino-Arcalís ski resort, is interested. The viewpoint is projected in the arrival area of the Creussans chairlift, next to the dividing crest of the slopes of Andorra and Ariège.

Ordino plans to take forward one of the highlights of the electoral program of the communal elections: the construction of a viewpoint in Arcalís, where the Creussans chairlift ends.

This was decided in the last session of the council, as reported today by Andorran radio-television. Therefore, the realization of this infrastructure , in which Saetde is interested, has been put out to public tender.

It could cost more than 300,000 euros and would help boost Ordino's tourist activity , as well as becoming a new panoramic attraction for the resort's skiers. The concession would be for 15 years extendable.

Ordino's consul, Josep Ángel Mortés, has reinforced the idea that Saetde is interested in the project, and has told Andorran radio television that "we will not take out a contest or a concession without knowing that there is someone interested before. to be clear: the concession of these lands is at the limit with the concession of Arcalís and the Creussans chairlift. "
