Tubbing, an outdoor leisure activity that allows you to launch yourself down a track in the form of a slide using a circular float, known as a "giant donut", is becoming more and more fashionable in the resorts as a complementary offer to skiing and snowboarding.
The ski resorts are ideal for this modality, since they have slopes of all kinds for its practice and, what is even more important, mechanical lifts to take the practitioners up to the starting point.
In turn, tubbing helps the stations to deseasonalize the season, because they can work both in winter and in summer.
The last to incorporate tubbing among its attractions is Espot. The Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) complex will open a tubbing track this winter in the Parc Lúdic at elevation 2000.
Located in the beginners area, it is 140 meters long, has a boarding area, two cants and a counter-sloping arrival area with carpets to facilitate braking.
The technical characteristics of the terrain have made it possible to incorporate two cambers that ensure a tubbing track with guaranteed fun for everyone.
The debutante belt II also allows, once the route is finished, to return to the starting point in a comfortable way.
The ticket to use tubbing can be purchased directly at the Parc Lúdic. The price of the activity allows unlimited descents during the established period of time (1 hour for €8 and 2 hours for €12).
Users who want to access the park will have to have the day pass, the season Ski Pass or the walk Ski Pass to access with the La Roca chairlift from the base of the station.
