Avoriaz was specifically designed for snow sports. This explains the proximity of the accommodations to the slopes and the absence of cars in the village! The most common means of transport are horse-drawn sleighs. Located in the heart of Les Portes du Soleil, one of the 3 largest ski areas in the world, this resort offers different slopes in terms of length and difficulty, and a great potential for snowboarders, it is considered a Mecca in this regard.

The Avoriaz ski resort is located in the heart of the French-Swiss Portes du Soleil ski area, which includes 13 resorts. In France: Adepositance, Avoriaz, Châtel, St Jean d'Aulps, La Chapelle d'Adepositance, Les Gets, Montriond, Morzine-Avoriaz; and in Switzerland: Champéry, Morgins, Torgon, Les Crosets and Champoussin. The Portes du Soleil ski pass gives you access to more than 600 km of slopes and 208 ski lifts!
