Verbier is the main resort in one of the great European ski areas: Les 4 Vallées. A total of 410 km of slopes, 74 itineraries and endless spaces to enjoy off-piste skiing.

Why should you ski in Verbier?

You will love to enjoy a ski holiday in Verbier, its ski area has 195 km of marked ski runs, and you can access Les 4 Vallées, the largest ski area in Switzerland.

The village of Verbier is located on top of a plateau at an altitude of 1,500 m, immersed in a spectacular landscape marked by the presence of the imposing peaks of the Swiss Alps.

This ski destination is a paradise for expert skiers, some of its off-piste areas, such as the downhill slopes of Mont Gelé, are a challenge even for them. The "easier" areas have their complexity.

Did you know that every year Verbier hosts the grand finale of the FreerideWolrd Tour? In March, the best riders in the world come to take on the dreaded Bec de Rosses. 500m of steepest downhill!

On the other hand, there are special slopes for all kinds of modalities such as: cross-country skiing, tobogganing, a gigantic snowboard park with three freestyle slopes of varying degrees of difficulty. And hundreds of kilometers of marked trails for snowshoeing!

As for the quality of the snow, you will be interested to know that it remains in a snow-powder state for longer than in other parts of Switzerland. This is thanks to the northeast orientation of many of its slopes.

For the 2022/23 season, the resort inaugurated a panoramic platform at the summit of Mont-Fort. Here you can enjoy a 360-degree panorama of the Alps from Mont Blanc to the Matterhorn.

What activities can be practiced in Verbier?

Beyond skiing and snowboarding, there are many activities you can do in Verbier. Looking for pure adrenaline? Go skydiving in front of the Grand Combin mountain.

You can also take a 15-minute helicopter ride and then jump into the void and plummet for 40 seconds. Or go down the longest toboggan run in French-speaking Switzerland, 10 km long.

Too daring? In Verbier you can also relax to the max at the Spa by Biologique Recherche, located at the Hôtel Chalet Expérimental; or at the SPA Cinq Mones, located at the Hôtel Cordée des Alpes.
