The Vallnord Pal Arinsal ski resort is already underway to prepare a winter season that is currently perceived as "good feelings". The director of the resort, José Marticella, said they are "very excited" and, despite not being able to reveal too many details, it does advance that the forecast is that the snow season will have an investment of three million euros .
In fact, he explained that La Massana parish will make a contribution of 1.4 million " and will finance some works, which I cannot move forward for now ."
What does count is the agreement they have reached with a private equity company that will allow them to renew all lockers to store material, both from Pal Arinsal and the Massana cable car.
«This is a private contribution of 500,000 euros for all the cabinets. This allows us to have a company that for 10 years will make us the lockers, something very good for customers because they will have the latest generation spaces. It is still a bet that should improve the customer experience ».
The director of the two resorts connected by a cable car, points out that the three million euros of investment
"They are in line with what we have done in recent years and therefore we continue with a firm will to generate positive results and improve the product without jeopardizing the resort's finances."
Last year there were six million investments that were destined to make, for example, a new reservoir in Arinsal of 21,000 m3 to improve the artificial firepower capacity of the sector, acquisition of new snow cannons, extension of tracks and creation of some new . Marticella remarks that
"We are an attraction and an economic engine and the better we have the season, the better the economic agents that depend on us will behave."
The fact of having opted to become a resort open 10 months a year means that today, in the summer season there are four aspects underway:
In the latter case EMAP, the company that manages the slopes of the Massana, began marketing last March. " For this coming year we are very excited, " Maricella admitted, pointing out that the forecast is to be able to open the tracks on November 30 and close them on April 13.
"So far the return we have had in the commercial field is very positive, the feelings are good, but later, until we start, we will not be clear."
Similarly and in relation to the response of the markets, he highlighted the fact of betting on an early sale , states that from EMAP
"Every time we anticipate more because the market needs tranquility and be clear about the commitment of Pal Arinsal."
As for the renewed Valls del Nord ski pass , the joint pass for skiing in both Pal Arinsal and Ordino Arcalís , exposes that the response of the public cannot yet be highly valued and that being a ticket with an evolutionary price, that is, it increases in Cost as the beginning of the season approaches, we must wait.
The first price change will occur on September 15 and it is considered that then it will be a good time to assess the situation and compare sales with those of previous years.
«At the moment sales are what they should be, which are few, but the bulk will be generated before September 15»
Despite being too early to advance assessments, José Marticella made it clear that the work in the snowfields does not stop and, therefore, when the time comes to start the winter gear of the resort will be ready. «The day the first snow falls, we will have everything ready».
