The Ordino Arcalís ski resort has announced that it will extend the 2023-2024 winter season until April 14. The accumulated snow thicknesses in the Andorran resort, thanks to the last abundant snowfalls, ensure good conditions beyond April 7, the initially planned closing date.
Currently, Ordino Arcalís has up to 170 centimeters of powder snow, which may continue to grow with the new precipitations announced for the coming days. At the same time, it has 96% of its skiable ski area open, which will become 100% of slopes with the opening this weekend of the Freixans slope.
Ordino Arcalís maintains enviable conditions as can be seen in these images of yesterday Thursday.
On the other hand, the ski resort of Ordino Arcalís will also keep open until April 14 all services, such as catering points of La Coma, Planells, L'Hortell and Portella del Mig, as well as equipment rental and ski and snowboard school.
On the other hand, both Grandvalira and Pal Arinsal (which is 100% open), which are currently in very good conditions as well, maintain the forecast to close the season on April 7. It should be recalled that the skiable area available these days between the three Grandvalira Resorts is 270 km, distributed as follows:
- 180 km are in Grandvalira with up to 140 cm thick.
- 63 km in Pal Arinsal with up to 115 cm
- 30 km in Ordino Arcalís with up to 170 cm
