The recent snowfalls and the intense work on the slopes by the terrain teams have allowed preparing Canillo ski area of Grandvalira, setting everything up for its opening and in good condition to open tomorrow. The access to the ski resort by the Canillo cable car will be operational, and practically all the ski area's slopes and its lifts will be open to the public. The ski connection to El Tarter will also be available, which will also have more skiable area due to the opening of the Encampadana ski lift and the slopes of the area, thus expanding the skiable kilometres available in Grandvalira.
The terrain preparation teams have been working hard to get the Canillo ski area ready for tomorrow's opening.
At the same time, the Mon(t) Magic Family Park in Canillo will be operational again from tomorrow and will have the main attractions. On the one hand, the 550-meter-long zip line will be open, the second longest in the Pyrenees, which has a drop of 40 meters and allows you to reach top speeds of up to 80 km / h while enjoying the spectacular views of Llac del Forn. On the other hand, the Màgic Gliss, the slide with a 555-metre descent between the snow-capped mountains of the ski area, will also open.
The snow garden of Canillo and its Ski and Snowboard School will also open their doors. As for restaurant services, you can enjoy the cuisine of the Roc de les Bruixes restaurant, the Xiri Forn and the cafeteria.

But the novelties in Grandvalira do not end here, as the Ski and Snowboard School of Soldeu - El Tarter will organize this Sunday a free snowboard initiation day, with the Burton Riglet method. The event is aimed at all children between 4 and 10 years old who want to take their first steps in this discipline.
Burton Riglet is an innovative learning method that allows to take the first steps in snowboarding in a safe and fun way thanks to a series of specific equipment s that start on dry terrain and then move on to the snow, where they continue learning in a controlled way. The activity will take place this Sunday 18, from 10 am to 1 pm at the Soldeu Platform and requires prior registration to participate.
