Grandvalira receives a total of 170 cm of new snow in the last 7 days

Grandvalira continues to accumulate centimeters of snow thanks to the heavy snowfall of the last week. In total, the domain records 170 cm of new snow , more than 90 cm of which only in the last 48 hours, and the weather forecast indicates that snow-shaped rainfall will continue to be present in the Principality until tomorrow's day.
The largest resort in the Pyrenees is expected to overcome the thicknesses recorded during the last historic snowfall in February 2015 when 172 cm of snow also fell in 7 days.
After a start of the season marked by the anticyclonic situation, these new precipitation in the form of snow will allow the development of a large part of the ski area of the resort for the weekend , provided that the weather conditions allow it.
The field teams work without interruption to condition the tracks, accesses, entrances and exits of the ski lifts, car park lots and restaurant terraces. Likewise, the machines continue their mission of stepping on the fallen snow during the night today.
At the same time, the road conditioning device of the Principality continues to be active in order to guarantee maximum safety in access to tracks.
