One of the greatest gifts that can be made to children is to spend a few days where you can see the snow. Without a doubt, an ideal plan to enjoy with your family. Play with the snow, organise a snowfight, step on and touch that strange white ground... Wherever you look, it's quite an experience!

Imagine that, besides being able to do all these activities in the snow with your family, you can combine it with winter sports such as skiing, wouldn't that be wonderful?

If you want this plan, it's simple. Without going any further, Vallnord has areas specifically designed for children. Specifically, three snow gardens are distributed between the two sectors of the resort, three nurseries and lots, lots of fun.

Also, remember that if you book any of our ski offers in Vallnord, the ski pass for children under 5 is free. And that's not all: if you make your reservation well in advance, you can get special prices even for children over 5 years old. Do not wait until it's too late!

Nursery schools in Vallnord

Vallnord has a total of three nurseries distributed in its two sectors. Specifically, two of them are in Pal-Arinsal and the third in Ordino-Arcalís. If the child is between 1 and 4 years old and is able to walk, you can leave him/her at the baby club. Do not hesitate to go there, the nursery staff will be happy to see you and your child!

The youngest of the family will feel like at home thanks to the attention of the caregivers and the amount of games they have prepared for them. When you pick up the child, you will not know who has had the a better time: children at the nursery or you skiing in Vallnord.

Snow gardens in Vallnord

Vallnord has three snow gardens, located in its two resorts aimed for young skiers aged between 4 and 8 years.

If you are wondering what is the difference between a nursery centre and a snow garden, we recommend to continue reading: the snow gardens are outdoor open spaces on the ski slopes and designed especially for children. There, young skiers can have their first contact with skiing or snowboarding and always in a safe and fun way!

On the other hand, not only do they have the opportunity to ski, the monitors and staff in charge of the area will also prepare games in order to make sure they have plenty of fun.

So, if you are going to spend a weekend in Vallnord, go thinking about how to convince them when it comes to going back home, because they will not want to leave.

Skiing with children in Pal-Arinsal

If the hotel you are staying in is located in La Massana, you can take the funicular that will take you to the Pal-Arinsal slopes. This is a perfect choice if you are going to ski with children because you will not need to use the car.

There, one of the most loved children's animation characters awaits you: Pocoyo. The two PekeParks of the ski resort have been extended and redecorated for this winter. In addition, it has also enabled a sledging area, another to descend in a kind of giant donuts called tubbing and a space with conveyor belts, where the kids can combine skiing with some of the many snow activities that they will enjoy .

Skiing with children in Ordino-Arcalís

Ordino-Arcalís is the other sector that belongs to Vallnord. To get to its facilities, you will have to use your own vehicle or get there by bus as it is located at a much higher altitude than the Pal-Arinsal sector.

The Family Park, which is the space for children between 4 and 8 years old, offers circuits with different routes to learn their first skiing techniques. Agustina, who is the Vallnord's mascot, will be in charge of teaching all the tricks so that they do not fall when putting on their skis.

Also, children will feel in surrounded by nature and mountains, since the Family Park is located in an area full of trees. And if you finally get to know the circuits of this area, you can descend through the 'Megaverde' slope, the longest green ski slope in Andorra and southern Europe.

You never finish learning and less when you are a child. During childhood, everything seems interesting and awakens our curiosity. In that stage, we are all like sponges and it is not hard for us to assimilate new things. Therefore, whether it is the first time you go skiing with children, or if you have already gone previously, we recommend you to book ski lessons for the little ones.

The Vallnord instructors, who have a homologated degree, will be responsible for teaching children over 6 years of age to ski and give them all the necessary instructions to have a great day in the snow.
