Resort Closed
The ski resort of Port Aine is in the splendid setting of the region of culd, in the area of influence of the municipality of Rial. Chaired by the Pic de l'Orri and between levels of 1650-2440 meters, north facing its 25 tracks ensures a favorable microclimate and excellent conditions for skiing, especially when the seasons are just snowfall.
Why go skiing in Port Ainé?
The strategic location of the ski lifts Port Aine provides access to your entire ski area (32 km) easily and quickly, highlighting the chairlift 6 seater JET-CIM, with output elevation 2,000 arrival to the highest point of the resort, 2,440 meters, from where they leave most of their tracks.
Unlike other resorts, Port Aine allows non - expert skiers climb to the top of the resort and track access Bellavista, more than three kilometers and suitable for beginners. How to get to Port Ainé?
By road, you can access the resort from Barcelona Port Aine, La Seu d'Urgell, Lleida, Tarragona, Temple and Toulouse. If you want to go by public transport from Lleida can be reached by bus to ski the same as the resort it has ski-bus service. The price is 36 € from Lleida and the ski pass is already included.
From Barcelona 250 kilometers and takes about three hours; from Gerona nearly 4 hours going through the tunnel of Cadi (surcharge); from Tarragona little over three hours and is 220 kilometers away. The tracks are located just 20 kilometers from the town of Sort (half an hour), so it's a good place to stop for breakfast or a coffee before starting a great day of skiing.
On the other hand, if you want access to the Port Aine Station by train, the nearest resort is FGC - La Pobla de Segur, 45 kilometers. And if you are traveling by plane, the nearest airport is Lleida-Alguaire (140km) or Barcelona El Prat (at 245km).

Nos ha parecido una estación acogedora, nada sobrecargada, perfecta para principiantes y familias. Es la primera estación a la que fuimos y hemos regresado por segunda vez.
La nieve a mediodía (primer fin de semana de primavera, después de muchos días sin nevar), sobre todo en las pistas bajas, incomodaba un poco, se derretía por el calor. Después de una nevada probablemente se esquía mejor.
We have found a cozy station, nothing overloaded, perfect for beginners and families. It is the first station we went to and we have returned for the second time.
The snow at noon (first weekend of spring, after many days without snow), especially on the lower slopes, uncomfortable, melted in the heat. After a snowfall it is probably better to ski.

Estacion de ski pequeña pero muy familiar. Trato del personal muy amable.
Podrian sustituir el telesilla de 3 personas que es muy antiguo y funciona muy lento. Por medidas de seguridad tambien. El parking tendrian que ampliarlo y no dejar los vehiculos a los lados de la carretera.

No hemos esquiado por Huelga (estana cerrado) del día 8 de marzo en el Port Aine. El dia 7 de marzo hemos alquilado equipamiento para esquiar y hemos guardado alquilando una taquilla para día siguiente 8 de marzo. Como el día siguiente han hecho la huelga no hemos usado es equipamiento. Han conbrado 140-150 euros por dos días pero hemos esquiado un día.
Mala calidad de nieve.

We have not skied by strike (closed) of March 8 at Port Aine. On March 7 we rented ski equipment and we saved by renting a box office for the next day March 8. As the following day they have made the strike we have not used it's equipment. They have earned 140-150 euros for two days but we have skied one day. Poor snow quality

Trazado de pistas muy buena, buena combinación entre pistas difíciles i fàciles, buena calidad de remontadores.
Por decir alguna cosa a mejorar si se puede, diria que se pudieran ampliar las zonas esquiables.

Ese fin de semana del 2 y 3 de Marzo estaba llenísimo de gente. Tuve que dejar el coche en mitad de la carretera a más de 1 km del primer remontador. Otros usuarios que van con frecuencia decían que no lo habían visto nunca. Tuvimos que andar con los niños y perder más de 1 hora. El parking se cerró a las 9:30h según nos dijeron. Muy mala coordinación y con mucho peligro por un exceso de aforo. En un momento subió una ambulancia y es que no podía pasar porque la carretera estaba ocupada por un lado con los coches que estaban aparcados. Una vergüenza y tercermundista.
Mi familia íbamos con reserva anticipada de hacía más de un mes y tuvimos que esperar más de una hora para que nos entregaran el material provocando la pérdida de más de una hora de clase con un monitor que teníamos contratado para toda la familia de 4 personas. O sea, unos 40€ tirados porque el monitor tenía clase reservada después.
Fatal, nos recomendaron PortAiné porque se caracteriza por ser una estación de esquí familiar pero desde luego que los que peor se lo pasaron fuimos los que íbamos con familia.

Hay que ir equipado a pistas. No es posible parar a comprar nada. Ni un cafe. Ni un agua. Ni nada. Menos que menos comer. 2 horas de cola en cualquiera de los dos sitios que hay para comer. Un incordio.
Muy mala organizacion para la entrega de materiales de esqui y alquiler. Se pierden 2 horas alli. Esquiades deberia ofrecer a todo aquel que no para en el hotel PORT AINE 2000 (que es el unico a pie de pista) sitios para alquilar equipos en SORT o en RIALP. Avisar a los clientes que les conviene alquilar alli.
Tambien es un gran problema las taquillas. Cuando esquias 2 dias y quieres dejar las cosas en una taquilla a pie de pista para no llevar y traer esquies cada dia, hace falta donde dejar. Pues escasas taquillas para la afluencia de gente que va a esa pista.
En fin, todos pequeños detalles que cuando confluyen, te cagan las vacaciones. Te dan estres y disfrutas menos.
You have to go equipped to tracks. It is not possible to stop to buy anything. Not a coffee. Not a water. Nothing. Less than less to eat. 2 hours of queue at any of the two places to eat. A nuisance. Very bad organization for the delivery of ski and rental materials. 2 hours are lost there. Esquiades should offer to anyone who does not stop at the PORT AINE 2000 hotel (which is the only one at the foot of the runway) to rent equipment in SORT or in RIALP. Advise clients that it is convenient for them to rent there. The ticket office is also a big problem. When you ski 2 days and want to leave things in a box office at the foot of the track so as not to bring and bring skis every day, you need to leave. Well, there are few ticket offices for the influx of people who go to that track. Anyway, all the little details that when they come together, they blow your vacation. They give you stress and you enjoy less.

Las opciones para los más pequeños que no esquían y su acompañante son limitadas respecto a otras estaciones "familiares". Me parece correcta la zona infantil e incluso el precio, pero que sea por tiempo limitado y que el acompañante tenga que pagar no me lo parece tanto.

El único restaurante que estaba abierto, estaba colapsado y a parte abren muy tarde al mediodia, de esta manera aún se genera más colas y embotellamiento ya que todos vamos a comer al mismo sitio y a la misma hora. Si vas con niños no puedes comer a las 3 de la tarde.
The only restaurant that was open, was collapsed and part open very late at noon, so even more queues and gridlock is generated and we'll all eat at the same place and same time. If you go with children you can not eat at 3 pm.

Es una pena que no exista una zona de uso de trineos GRATUITA. Los niños pequeños se cansan y no puedes condicioanrlo a pagar 3 horas y estar 3 horas en la pIsta de trineos. A ellos leS gusta parar o hacer otras cosas.
