Mürren (1,638m) is a traditional mountain village in the highlands of Bern, Switzerland. It's one of the most popular tourist spots in Switzerland, as the town offers a view of the three towering mountains: Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.
Originally it was an agricultural village, but in 1900 tourism began to emerge and many visitors (mostly British) discovered this charming area in Switzerland - in the beautiful valley of Lauterbrunnen, known as the Valley of 72 Waterfalls, Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. With it being so high up the mountain, it's one of the most snow-sure ski areas in Europe.
The après-ski atmosphere is great. Grindelwald is the best option as you'll find a number of pubs and bars with live music. There are also some clubs if you want to go out until late at night. There are also in this region to have a good stay after skiing. You'll find several lively pubs and bars with DJs and live music until after dinner. Grindelwald will also be hosting the World Snow Festival in January and the open-air Rock concert in April.
