Initiation Canyoning

Canyoning is an activity which consists of going down natural drops that the erosion and water have created over the years. During the excursion you will find waterfalls, ponds, huge rocks, underground sections, water slides... You will be guided by a mountain specialist and will have the necessary material so you can discover this exciting sport in a pleasant and safe way.

The level is for beginners. It is first contact with the sport and isn't very difficult. All you need to know is swim and not be afraid of water.

The activity is from Monday to Sunday at 3 pm in Ordino (Vallnord)




Sneakers or hiking boots that can get wet
Means of transport to get to the Meeting Point

Approximately 3 hours, although this may vary depending on your group. 



  • If you wear glasses it is a good idea to tie them with a cord or even do the activity without them.
  • If you wear contact lenses it is advisable to protect them using goggles or do not even carry them. 



Do I need any special preparation or is being physically fit enough for it? No specific preparation is required. It is about knowing your limitations and be in good physical condition. This activity combines walking, climbing, rappeling, jumping, swiming ... 

What is the schedule of the Canyoning Activity? The meeting point is the Head Office. Here is were you will get ready for the activity. After getting changed, you will drive your own car to the beginning point of the activity. 

Do I have to jump? Sometimes there is no other way than to jump. However,  these are low-rise leaps and easy jumps. In higher jumps you can use a rope for rappelling. 

Do I need to know how to swim? Water can cover our body in many parts during the descent and we must get to areas swimming. So it is essential to know how to swim. 

Is it easy to rappel? Our guide will always teach you how to do it properly, monitoring you and making it safe. 

What is the minimum age for this activity? 7 years old .

What is the best season? The ravines change every season. After the rains and snow season they ususally have more water, which is colder, so it requires more technical skills, whereas in summer the flow decreases. 

What kind of shoes should I wear? Comfortable, light and adherent ones that will protect your foot. 


People under 18 must go under adult supervision.
